Why is it important for a person from Lifetime Construction to meet the adjuster from the insurance company?
This is a critical component of what we do. We make sure our customers are treated fairly by the insurance company. We have a great deal of experience in this area and it is imperative that we are at the house when the adjuster shows up.
What if the adjuster shows up and a Lifetime Construction person is not there?
This is a crusade of Lifetime Construction. We have countless examples of people not receiving the full benefit of their insurance because they did not have us out there to work with the insurance adjuster.
Why would I show my claim to Lifetime Construction?
Insurance work is different than your typical “bid and buy” scenario in construction. Insurance work creates a scenario where the insurance company sets the price and Lifetime Construction does the work for the price the insurance is willing to pay.
We also upgrade the customer to the best product possible for the price the insurance is willing to pay.
Why shouldn’t I bid this job out and get the best price?
This is different than an ordinary construction job. The insurance sets the price and then we put on the best material available for that price. That is why we are Lifetime Construction- We put on Lifetime Shingles, Synthetic felt etc. The best products available for what the insurance is willing to pay.
How can you put on a Lifetime Shingle if the insurance company is only paying for a 20 year shingle that I have on my house?
We upgrade all customers for to the Lifetime Shingle. We simply will not put on an inferior product.
Is Lifetime Construction a local company?
Yes- we are as local as they come. Virtually all of us grew up from grade school in the community. Many of us went to the local universities as well.
How can you “cover my deductible”- I thought that was illegal?
We do not pay your deductible- however, many times in the claim there are items that you decide you do not care about or choose to do the work yourself. This money can be credited toward your deductible. For example- fence, gutter etc.
How long have your crews been working with Lifetime Construction?
Most our crews have been with us for over 6 years. We understand our crews are the major factor in our success. We pay them well and give them the respect they deserve.
What should I do while the work is going on?
In most cases you will want to remove your car from the driveway. We encourage customers to leave the home while the work is going on as the noise can get bothersome.
Is there an inspection of the work after it is complete?
Yes- We have a Quality Control Person (QC) that oversees the project to make sure the job is being done correctly. The City will send an inspector out to do a “mid-roof” inspection as well as a final inspection at the end of the job.
I do not understand the claim paperwork.
We are experts in handling insurance paperwork. We have had years of experience with every type of insurance out there. You will not be left alone to battle insurance.
